The Capital Woman

Less about metrics and numbers. More about knowledge and application.

Why does The Capital Woman exist?

To improve the experience, lifestyle, self efficacy, and confidence of black women through financial education, representation, and advocacy.

Financial Education

Black women and other women of color have been left out of financial education for hundreds of years. Empowering women with relevant, applicable, and actionable knowledge in finance is a key focus especially in these areas:

  • Money management

  • Real estate as a wealth building strategy

  • Credit building and leveraging

Representation

Showcasing and highlighting Black women in finance as well as women in ALL industries that are creating the life they want to live for themselves by taking control over their money and wealth building potential. Relatability and representation are essential in our platform.

Advocacy

Continuously speaking up about the gaps that exist between genders, race, and other demographics as related to pay, opportunities, knowledge, and its overall economic impact to our community. Creating awareness and action plans to strengthen the Black community and bridge gaps, one person at a time.
